Windy Day in the Marina

Oof! How could we miss this guy!

Having said that, he almost got run over by a car coming out of a driveway! Good choice of clothing for the day. It got me thinking how his life could have changed, simply by the clothes he picked in the morning.

That does it, I'm going to wear that bearskin hat I got on Ebay ;¬)

patience

Unlike most other marks, we picked this one while we were still at Daphnes. He was patiently waiting in line which gave us plenty of time to observe him.

MR. MIYAGI...EATS AT DAPHNES?

Here's this week's mark. He looked like a little Mr. Miyagi, from Karate Kid.

Mr. Miyagi was patiently standing there, waiting in line, when I snapped my mental picture of him.

The Tie Guy

Hey, I'm back, with another Sketchclub "mark."

Hmm, I wonder why the Sketchclub management picked this guy?

The Latest Victim

Here's one of a kid that thought we were admiring his skating prowess.

Introducing JED HENRY

Ladies and Gentlemen, Sketchclub has the distinct honor of having it's very first intern! OK, Jed is actually Sony Animation's first intern, and he's been joining the Sketchclub crew on Friday's as they head off to do some "clubbing."

Look at this beautiful sketch! And, the rest of the Sketchclub crew slacked off and didn't join him in on the fun.

Good job Jed.

no trippin'

With really oversized clothes, it was impressive that this guy managed to walk without tripping.

Big Nasty Dude

This is a weird fashion statement that I have not gotten used to in the 20 or so years that it has become popular. It's sort of like taking the Charlie Chaplin baggy trousers and oversized shirt, and trying to look cool wearing it.

Believe it or not, this little gangsta was a full grown man (early 20s) -- but at a distance he had the proportions of a ten year old boy in his big brother's hand-me-downs. In the end, with his hat cocked to the side, his fashion statement made him look like Spanky, from the Little Rascals.

Speeding under a summer sky

So that was it, another cool sketchclub session is over and now we have to pickaWOOAHOHOHO!! wait a second!, here he comes, this -is-it!
We all agreed the moment we saw him walking really fast, trying to get somewhere!

The Man That Fashion Forgot

This guy was quite a funny looking character. He looked like "The Man That Fashion Forgot."

But, as I started to observe him, I realized he might actually be trying to "work" this look.

Big mouth, small cell phone.

Back in town and back to drawing the mystery person. Some people get on a cell phone and want everyone within a 10 block radius to know it.

Enjoy!

Mr Nice .

Hey there - this is my take on the poor victim . Everyone said " that guy " and when I turned around all I saw was a mass of big shapes .

Craig Harris

When this guy was marked, Craig only saw this 3/4 back view, then the guy turned a walked around the corner and was gone. There were only a few seconds to memorize this mark.

Bouncer for a Mortuary?

What the heck did this guy do for a living? He looked like a bouncer for a mortuary...if a mortuary ever needed a bouncer.

Lost in Culver City

We had a hard time guessing his age. It felt like he grew too fast and kept a very young face. He also had a look about him that made you think he was a little lost in Culver City.

Introducing Craig Harris

Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to introduce the newest member of Sketchclub, Craig Harris.

Just click on Craig Harris to check out his blog.

Holy-moly! It's been a while...

Yes, Sketchclub had gone into the 'Winter" of its run, and now the Spring thaw has brought blossoms out of the twigs of its yesterday.

In otherwords, we were all lazy and haven't been doing our memory sketches. Don't get me wrong, we've been coming to sketchclub and drawing up a storm, but that's where the enthusiasm wore out.

Here's one by Marcelo -- who was too lazy to add color. So, by the time he had to remember what color shirt this guy was wearing, that memory was gone. Marcelo would like to apologize to all the disapointed fans.

Instead of a memory sketch, this was done during lunch.
